Meditation & Kadampa Buddhism in Barbados

Tara Kadampa Buddhist Centre (TKBC) has arisen from the sincere request from local Buddhist practitioners in Barbados and is the home of Kadampa Buddhism, being the first New Kadampa Tradition Centre in the Caribbean founded by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. There are practices for all levels of interest, including practical Buddhist Teachings and weekly meditation classes, daily meditations and chanted prayers, meditation retreats, special day courses and workshops and special events such as blessing Empowerments and Ceremonies. Everybody welcome!

TKBC is located directly in the busy South Coast, in Hastings:  close to town and the beach. This central setting allows for a peaceful retreat from the busyness of commuting, work and tourism, where students and the local community can have a place of refuge to develop an oasis of peace within their hearts.

Our new location is on Harts Gap, it is the 4th building on the left from the Main Coast Road, Hastings.  The new Novel Tea place is on the corner of Main Coast Road and Harts Gap and Mama Mia's is close to that corner on the other side of Harts Gap, just down from Coconut Court Hotel. By May 1st, we will have a sign on the corner of Harts Gap and Main Coast Road and at our new location which is a cute old Bajan style house- perfect setting for a Dharma Centre with a wrap around porch and large back yard.
